Bean Bag DIY

GO OUTSIDE

Bean bags are a fun activity for toddlers to encourage hand eye coordination. They are great for throwing onto targets and into boxes or buckets, as they land rather than bounce. They are also easier for young children to catch as they can be grabbed rather than caught in the hands. I put these together after picking up a packet of fabric scraps at officeworks and some beans and split peas in the soup section of the supermarket. You can use a variety of different beans or weights in your bags or make them all the same, up to you. I sewed 3.5 edges of the squares inside out, turned them the right way through, filled the bags and then was lazy and just did a straight stitch across the open hole. If you are a better sewer than me feel free to sew it up nicely!
